Having had a life-long love of gardens and gardening, we felt it would be a ‘jolly good idea’ if people could share their gardens with each other. It gives you a chance to see gardens in other parts of the country and also ones that are not usually open to the public

When you consult the ‘Yellow Book of Gardens of England and Wales Open for Charity’, these wonderful gardens are only open for a limited period of time and are in many different parts of the country, but with ‘Excuse the Weeds’ you can visit a Member’s displayed garden any time you wish, day or night, seven days a week , fifty two weeks of the year!

You can join that prestigious band of gardeners, who bravely open their gardens to the public without the hassle of having people trampling over your borders!

To display your garden on ‘Excuse the Weeds’ you don’t necessarily have to show your most recent photographs. After all the point of all this is to show off your garden’s best bits, so, pictures taken in the spring time or a few weeks ago (or even years ago) are fine, just as long as you are happy with them, that’s the most important thing. Then, when you take some more pictures for a different season or occasion, you can use them to change your display. In fact with ‘Excuse the Weeds’ you can change your pictures and write-ups as many times as you like!

Eventually we would like to be able to include small movies of your garden, but for the time being, for the standard subscription, you can display as many as eight photographs of your garden to share with other gardeners. Our forum page is for you to exchange ideas with fellow gardeners, or to air your views about any issues regarding gardening that you want to get off your chest, Each page will have a counter so you can see how popular your garden is, and each month we will feature the most popular and visited garden with a ‘Garden of the Month’ feature.
